We went to the Alps years ago. We loved Morzine. We loved the snow. We loved walking. Alex loved the tartiflette.

We talked. Wouldn't it be nice to run a business here? Of course it bloody would... but there's already plenty of beds. Besides, everyone talks.

We get married in Morzine. The urge grows. Even the Mayor thinks we should live here. But there's still plenty of beds for everyone.

Lunch at the Pointe de Nyon. Thinking caps on. We write down our perfect holiday on the back of a napkin. Napkin reads:

• 1. They'd know where to get the best tartiflette.
• 2. They'd have chalets like the best boutique hotels you've ever been in. Fluffy towels. The works.
• 3. But you'd have them all to yourself.
• 4. It doesn't feel like some McMountain chalet.
• 5. And it's jolly good to the environment.

Napkin turns into business plan. Business plan turns into let's do it. Let's do it turns into Slow Chalets.
